New year, new ambitions and great resolutions! 🎯 What are the communication resolutions for 2025? And above all, what realistic goals should we set ourselves, so as not to give in to our bad habits at the end of January? 🤓 Yes, yes… Let's be honest! The We Are COM team comes to your aid, with its utopian resolutions and realistic tips.
#1 – This year, I will prioritize quality over quantity on social media
The idea? No longer overwhelm the Social Media de content insipid. It's not by posting yet another kitten gif on Insta that you'll impress your audience! This year, we're prioritizing engagement over the number of views.
And in real life? Try to reduce your 15 weekly posts into 3 good posts, more qualitative and more targeted.
#2 – This year, I will relearn how to say “no”
The idea? Don't end up in Burn out before the February holidays! And above all, don't feel guilty if you are not able to accept a new project. It's okay, you can say "no" twice a year.
And in real life? Prepare a short phrase so that you don't get thrown off balance in the event of an attack, such as "Wow, that’s a great idea! It’s not our current strategic priority, but why not revisit it later?".
#3 – This year, I will take the time to train myself
The idea? Stay up to date with trends, keep informed of new tools and new uses of communication. For this, nothing beats good training!
And in real life? Block out time in your calendar, sign up for webinars, watch Club We Are COM replays. ☺️️ By the way, you know our training courses ?
#4 – This year, I will pamper my press relations
The idea? No longer settle for a generic press release that delights no one, not even you. This year, take the time to personalize your press relations and pamper the media.
And in real life? Set a realistic goal to achieve. Identify key journalists and schedule 3 publications per year.
#5 – This year, I will no longer procrastinate campaign reviews
The idea? How do you know if your campaign worked without analyzing its impact? Yes, campaign reviews are boring, but they are also super important!
And in real life? Schedule at least a small review, when your communication is still fresh. Why not block a slot, a post-campaign alarm, to identify the big insights.
#6 – This year, I will (a little) spare my creativity
The idea? Put an end to the madness of endless brainstorming sessions. By over-stretching your creativity, inspiration disappears. You need to take breaks, open your mind to new things.
And in real life? Allow yourself at least one real lunch a week! Your brain will thank you.
#7 – This year, I will invest in tools that will simplify my life
The idea? Stop juggling between 15 free tools! Identify and target your real needs and act accordingly.
And in real life? Invest in a new tool before the end of winter and train yourself effectively in its use. Why not get started with new generative AI? You will see, a tool used well is an incredible time and efficiency saver.
#8 – This year, I will put CSR at the heart of my strategy
The idea? No more sticking to promises, this year you need to take action and provide proof of your commitment. Your actions Report must be concrete and measurable.
And in real life? Favor partnerships with responsible companies and reduce your consumption of unnecessary goodies. 😉
#9 – This year, I will stop giving in to all the trends
The idea? No more exhausting yourself chasing each new trend. This year, you will be the one to master the trends, by focusing on those that have real potential, that bring real added value to your communication actions.
And in real life? Choose to ride one trend per quarter. At the end of the year, you'll be proud of yourself for having adopted trends wisely.
#10 – This year, I will preserve my mental health
The idea? Learning to disconnect is the last of your great New Year's resolutions! In 2025, don't give in to pressure, preserve your mental health and avoid a major breakdown.
And in real life? Try to schedule little miracle breaks in your schedule. It is by taking a few moments for yourself, away from the ambient stress, that you will boost your well-being and your productivity. And stop checking your emails automatically and frantically!
