Definition: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a "concept in which companies integrate social, environmental and economic concerns into their activities and into their interactions with their stakeholders on a voluntary basis" (Green Book of the European Commission). In short, it is the adoption of ethical and transparent behavior by a company on all questions relating to the environment, social, economic and its own activities.
