Phishing

Definition: Combination of the word fishing with the word phreaking (computer fraud), phishing is the act of usurping the digital identity (identifier and access code) of a bank and other confidential contact details of an Internet user. An e-mail a priori by a company known to the victim in fact sends the victim to a false site with the same graphic charter as the official site and invites him to update personal information. The author of the deceptive site can then recover data for illegal use. To prevent phishing, banking organizations and other holders of personal information tell the customer / Internet user that his personal information will never be requested, and that it is a fraud if necessary.
