Definition: On the Internet, the term "frame" originally refers to an HTML function introduced by the Netscape Internet browser. Today, it generally refers to a defined space on a web page. A "frame" allows for example to scroll a central text zone while keeping the navigation bar on the screen. However, sites with this type of function are increasingly rare, new development techniques allowing better layout of sites.
