Definition: On the internet, the term "frame" originally refers to an HTML feature introduced by the Netscape web browser. Today, it generally refers to a defined space on a web page. A "frame," for example, allows a central text area to scroll while keeping the navigation bar on screen. However, sites with this type of feature are becoming increasingly rare, as new development techniques allow for better site layout.
