Headline

Definition: In typography or journalism, the title is the set of titles, subtitles, surtitles, intertitles, hooks, chapters that make up an article. The headline stages the text to encourage the reader to read. As an element of information, the headline offers a hierarchy of content and makes it possible to highlight the main information. Graphically, the title is described in the graphic charter of the support (font used, italics, weight, body size, etc.); thus differentiating it from the body of the text.
