Definition: Mixing is the action which makes it possible to assemble and mix, on the same medium, a certain number of sound sources. The mixing is carried out in the studio or in the control room and concerns television and radio broadcasts as well as films. Current techniques make it possible to improve the sound quality during mixing and to eliminate certain defects present during the initial recording.
