Definition: The moderator is the person in charge of managing discussion forums. Its role is to animate and moderate the forum of a website (generally community). He decides which messages can be broadcast. He can delete texts considered off topic, too violent, which contravene the law or which infringe the explicit or implicit rules of the forum. He can also restart the discussion when it runs out of steam, or reframe it when it is too dispersed. The moderator must be impartial and moderate his personal opinion. He conformed to the "charter" of the forum in which he intervened.
