Definition: The number zero (or number 0) is a complete version of a medium (newspaper, magazine, newsletter, etc.) to be launched or a change in the formula of an existing medium intended to test the content and the layout. There may be several zero numbers following successive corrections made after presentation to advertisers, advertising buying agencies or even a representative sample of the readership. The goal is to optimize the layout and the content before it is actually launched.
