Definition: An online journalist (salaried or freelance) is a journalist who works mainly for an internet medium that has no equivalent on paper. An online journalist must adapt his writing to the uses of the Web and adopt a simple, concise and clear style. The Professional Journalists' Identity Card Commission (CCIJP) recognizes this specific status on the condition, however, of producing information for the general public based on journalistic work that meets the same standards as these two "classic" journalists.
