Definition: Open source, or “open source code” in French, designates all software and other IT resources that meet the criteria of the Open Source Initiative. More concretely, this means that the source code of these applications is accessible and available to the general public. It is therefore possible for him to modify these computer programs or to create derivative works. These software are now very widespread in public administrations and are gradually developing in private companies.
