pure players

Definition: The English expression Pure Player refers to companies that have started on the Internet and continue their development exclusively through this communication channel. This model is embodied by Google, Amazon, eBay, VentePrivée, etc. The Pure Players are in conjunction with the “Bricks and Mortar” (bricks and mortar), an expression designating traditional companies with a classic distribution network (stores for example). Note the gradual evolution towards the “Cliks and Mortar” model: it is a matter of complementarity between a commercial site and a network of stores.
