teasing

Definition: Teasing is a communication technique aimed at arousing the curiosity of the public by revealing one or more enigmatic messages without necessarily indicating the object of the communication or the announcer. The goal is to create a positive "buzz" before the launch of a product and to capture the attention of the target audience beforehand. Used on all media (print, press, radio, television, web, etc.), teasing is particularly well suited to digital communication by offering the Internet user to be a player in viral marketing.
